Weathering Heights

“When Gary Conway and I decided to plan a shoot in the Peak District in the middle of a very British winter, optimism was of upmost importance…it would not rain! (And IF it did, courtesy of our lovely H&M artist Emily Doyle we had enough waterproofs for a small army!) 

Our model Amy Manson was a pro. Standing on the hillside in extreme winds and slipping out of her cosy dressing gown and parka and into an array of sheer panelled dresses and sweaters, lace gowns and pleated skirts I had admiration for her strength and commitment. 

Driving home drinking hot Vimto in a car which appeared to be masquerading as a steam room, there was a nice buzz in the air.
