“October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and many companies are supporting this campaign by producing pink inspired products. One of my favourite is NailsInc‘s glitter polish designed by Matthew Williamson and Poppy Delevingne.
As some of you may know I always sign my letters, cards and emails – Lovelightandmagic
I started writing this at the end of correspondence way back when my girlfriend at the times mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. Girlfriend! Yes it was a long time ago and a beautiful and confusing time. During this testing time my girlfriend’s mum received a card from a healer wishing her love, light and magic. I still remember reading the card and how these words resonated within me. How amazing for someone who didn’t know my girlfriend’s mum to send her such amazing words. Tragically Caroline’s Mum lost her battle with cancer but the words stayed with me and I always get comments from new correspondence about my sign off. It makes me smile that they have such great and positive effect.
Being a makeup artist the Nails Inc Breast Cancer Awareness polishes really appealed to me. Any excuse to buy more makeup and support a great campaign very close to my heart. I might even paint my own nails pink – who said boys can’t wear pink nails!
